About Lusam
Good CV advice shouldn’t be a privilege.
Lusam is an international, English-language platform that helps people present themselves clearly on paper, whatever their background, experience or starting point.
Our mission
To make clear, practical CV guidance free and easy to understand for anyone taking a step into work.
Many people learn how to write a CV from a parent, a teacher, a careers adviser or a friend in the right industry. Plenty of people don’t have that. They’re left guessing at rules nobody wrote down.
Lusam writes those rules down in plain English, with examples, so beginners, students, career changers and job seekers can build a CV with confidence.
Who Lusam is for
Wherever you’re starting from.
Beginners
Writing your very first CV and not sure where to begin.
Students
Applying for part-time work, internships or a first graduate role.
Career changers
Moving into a new field and translating the experience you already have.
Job seekers
Returning to work, or improving a CV that isn’t getting replies.
What you can expect
Four principles behind everything we publish.
These guide every page on Lusam, from a single checklist item to a full guide.
Free to use
The Learning Centre, the example CVs and the five-point self-check are free. You don’t need an account and there’s no paywall halfway through a guide.
Plain English
We explain things simply, define any terms we use and show examples, because most people learn best by seeing what good looks like.
Private by default
You can use Lusam without sharing personal information. The CV self-check runs in your browser and doesn’t send or store your answers.
Honest advice
We won’t promise interviews or jobs, and we’ll never suggest you exaggerate. Good guidance helps you show your real experience in its best light.
